Residents and members of the Fluvanna Community Historical Society should mark their calendars for the Annual Meeting of the Fluvanna Community Historical Society happening Saturday, March 1, 2025. This gathering promises to be informative and crucial for our efforts in preserving the rich history of Fluvanna.

Annual Meeting: Purpose
The Annual Meeting of the Fluvanna Community Historical Society serves as a vital gathering for our members and the community. This event provides an opportunity to reflect on the past year's achievements, discuss ongoing projects and outline future goals. It is a time for members to engage in meaningful dialogue, share insights and contribute to the strategic direction of the Society. Additionally, the meeting includes the election of board members, approval of the budget and other important organizational decisions. By participating in the Annual Meeting, members play an essential role in shaping the future of our Historical Society and ensuring the preservation of our community's rich heritage.
Highlighting the Meeting House Purchase
Exciting news on this year's agenda: we're on the brink of finalizing the purchase of Fluvanna's historic Meeting House! The Historical Society has cherished this landmark under a hundred-year lease, and now owning it outright is a monumental step forward in our mission for historical preservation and community engagement.
The Meeting House is so much more than a structure; it's a treasure trove of memories and stories spanning generations. This landmark is where our community has come together for over two centuries, hosting countless events. Securing ownership means we can protect this site's rich history and unleash a wave of historical preservation, educational, recreational and community renewal activities, like educational programs, weddings, community festivals, events and so much more. Imagine the possibilities!
