The Fluvanna Community Historical Society provides assistance to people interested in conducting their own family history project or genealogical research on behalf of other family members, friends, neighbors or clients. Our researchers provide a variety of services including the following: - help getting started with one's family history or genealogy research; - providing forms and templates that may be useful in gathering, organizing or recording genealogy data, records or information; - reviewing the types and scope of records available in our Archives, online or at other research centers in our area, Chautauqua County, Western New York, Upstate New York or the Northeast; - searching our Archives for information or records related to one's genealogical research and referrals to other historical societies to conduct similar research in other towns nearby; - obtaining and forwarding copies of obituaries, vital records, newspaper articles and other materials related to non-living residents of Fluvanna; To get started and help us determine how we can best assist you, book a 1-on-1 session with our research staff today.
